Reclaim/Redeem Your Pet (Found Pets)
Every day lost dogs and cats are brought to the Shelter as stray animals. If you have lost a pet and believe it is at the Shelter, please call the Shelter to schedule an appointment to view the pet and bring confirming information if you can. We do require some type of proof of ownership.
Please also understand a fee is charged for redeeming a pet.

- Redeemed Within 24 Hours - $40
- Additional Days - $10 each day
- Dog License Fee (required if not current) - $6 for altered dog, $16 for unaltered dog
*Additional fees may apply such as medication/treatment
*Owners may adopt their pet back if the adoption fee would be less than the redemption fee.
Surrender Your Pet
The decision to part with your pet can be a difficult one. Although we want fur-ever homes for every pet, sometimes it is necessary for you to find your pet a new home. You may surrender your pet to the Shelter for a small fee which helps to pay for the initial few days of care for your pet as well as necessary medical care and vaccinations.
Before you contact the Shelter to surrender your pet, we do recommend keeping your pet for as long as you can while finding a home for it privately. This is the least stressful method for your pet and allows them to stay in the comfort of home for as long as possible, because while shelters can rehome your pet and provide a safe environment, they are still shelters.
If you do make the hard decision to surrender to us, understand we will do our best to take care of your pet and find it a fur-ever home! You can also rest assured as we are a strictly no-kill shelter. Please view the fee structure below for surrendering your pet:
- Verified Vaccinated and Altered - $35
- No proof of Vaccines or Alteration - $50
- Litter of Kittens/Puppies - $35 + depending on size of the litter
